– Grace Munene: struggle and dignity –
20/03/2020 – TV3 – QUAN ARRIBIN ELS MARCIANS
Grace Munene, aka Grammo Suspect, is a Kenyan rapper and activist fighting for the rights of LGBTQ people. Following attacks and death threats in 2019, he had to flee his country because his life was in danger. For three months she lived in Berga’s Konvent Art Center, hosted by a network of local artists and activists. Some of these activists re-encounter Konvent to tell us the story of Grace Munene’s reception: Pep Espelt, Konvent’s director; Fernando Paniagua, of the platform for freedom of expression No Callarem; the manager Javi Zarco, and Edu Libra, from the group Las Bajas Pasiones, who collaborated with Grammo Suspect and who published the album “Bichx Rarx”.
