International Open Call – Konvent 2019

Konvent’s 2019 Open Call for International Residency has the goal of supporting artistic research and creation with no restriction of age, origin nor artistic discipline. This Open Call offers twelfe weekly slots for artists of any nationality, creating a space for artists to meet and exchange in conditions that favour creation. This edition prioritizes artist’s maximum concentration on their work, offering not only the work spaces and housing but also all daily meals. The goal is to offer adequate space and concentration for each artist in a unique environment which is the Cal Rosal textile colony.
Konvent residencies are for creators in the areas of visual arts, performance, literature, video, photography, sound art, music, new media, gastronomy, science and technology that want to develop their project in an environment that is inspiring and opened to opinions exchange and dialogue.
Of all projects received Konvent will provide:
– 8 to 10 places per week at full board.
– 3 to 6 places awarded with Konvent 50% Grant. Beneficiary artists will be awarded half price residency for a minimum stay of one week and up to a maximum of 2 weeks.
– 3 to 6 places awarded with Konvent 100% Grant. Beneficiary artists will be awarded free residency for a minimum stay of one week and up to a maximum of 2 weeks.
