THE BANQUET

Konvent Zero and The Great Oven are proud to announce The Banquet. A unique celebration of Food, Music and Art happening at The Konvent from 12pm on Saturday August 13, until Midnight, Sunday August 14, 2022

The Great Oven is an international organization who build giant, beautifully decorated ovens and send them to places in need – from refugee camps and war-torn communities to countries in crisis. Currently based in Lebanon, they plan to expand to Colombia in 2023.

Their work is shaped by the experience of a diverse and talented team of ex-child fighters, trafficked women, refugee families and stateless youth. They do not follow the path of traditional food relief. They are not in the business of temporary handouts. Their ovens empower communities to feed themselves sustainably. They believe in the power of food, art and music to nourish and inspire.

Konvent Zero forged a bond with The Great Oven when members of our collective travelled to Beirut in 2021 to assist with the organization’s work in the crisis-hit country.

And now we welcome The Great Oven to our home.
Artists, musicians and food luminaries from around the world will travel to create a two-day, intimate experience – awash with experimental art, mesmerizing musical performances and groundbreaking gastronomy. Konvent members will also create the first Great Oven in Europe – which will remain in our community and feed many mouths to come.

“We aim to raise awareness and funds for this incredible project who believe culture, creativity and cooking can transform communities.” QUOTE NAME

Admission is 40E, with proceeds going to The Great Oven.
